When L’Occitane UK approached Maxipos to develop a Christmas Cracker box set to hold a selection of their hand creams for one of their main Christmas promotions, we were very excited to work on this unusual project. Maxipos was delighted to not only produce the box but also the crackers too. The gift set was to be sold in the UK and other main European markets.
For the cracker box, Maxipos developed an FBB base tray that could hold six crackers with a PET PVC lid so that the crackers could be easily seen on shelf. It was printed black on the outside with a gloss lamination added to the box, keeping it plain and unprinted to keep within budget.
The crackers themselves were also created using the same FBB material and gloss lamination as the outer box. The combination of the gold pantone colour, white out artwork and red foil print all added to the crackers’ premium Christmas feel.
The cracker set proved to be a very successful Christmas promotion for L’Occitane. 28,010 units were produced overall with delivery split between the UK and France.
