Woke Babies is a monthly subscription service whose aim is to ensure that black children’s books are widely distributed to make it easier for all children to discover books with black characters.
The books included within the subscription are specifically tailored to a child’s age and are guaranteed to empower and inspire, all whilst keeping the art of reading books alive.
As each month’s subscription includes 2-3 books plus an activity pack, Woke Babies required a sturdy e-commerce shipper that would protect the books and ensure they arrived intact.
Having been contacted by Woke Babies, we briefed one of our trusted Turkish suppliers who quoted on a 0427 postal shipper. The chosen shipper had additional bespoke features such as a self-tear zipper and self-adhesive tape strip, meaning any returns could be sent back in the same box.
In terms of materials, our factory used a brown test liner corrugated board with 210gsm C1S art paper mounted on both sides so that Woke Babies’ vibrant artwork stood out.
Woke Babies have since re-ordered the e-commerce shipper in a second artwork and have asked us to look into further packaging projects for them.
