A few months after asking Maxipos to create a medium sized rigid gift box with lid, Desmond & Dempsey returned to ask us to create two collapsible boxes that would offer premium packaging for their wholesale accounts and for multiple online purchases.
The collapsible boxes were to be created in two different sizes in two of Desmond & Dempsey’s exclusive, hand-painted artwork designs.
Our factory in China produced both of the boxes from 1500mic greyboard which was then covered in 157gsm art paper with matt lamination. The hidden magnets in the flap provided a premium closure method and a touch of luxury to the gift boxes so that it matched the brand’s high-quality cotton nightwear.
The boxes have been a huge success for this brand with 1,224 units being produced across the two artworks.
The larger version of the collapsible box has been used by Desmond & Dempsey’s wholesale retailers such as Selfridges, Net-A-Porter and Liberty London.
