Beauty Pie – Gua Sha Tool, Pouch & Carton

Beauty Pie is the new disruptor of the beauty industry with their innovative subscription-based members club. Offering luxury skincare and cosmetic ranges, their products are on par with the big brands of beauty… except there is a twist: they offer members an exclusive price which is much lower than the ‘typical’ price. Due to this business model Beauty Pie have quickly obtained a large and loyal following.

In December 2021 Beauty Pie contacted Maxipos as they were looking to produce a stainless steel Gua Sha tool for their 2022 gifting range. Maxipos provided four different tool options, the last of which was a pebble shaped tool that contained 95% pure water and 5% alcohol.

After sampling the tool, Beauty Pie decided to proceed with an order. The tool was created with a white PP centre and a silver stainless steel casing. As the tool was to be part of their gifting range, Beauty Pie also decided they’d like to develop a drawstring pouch to house the tool before it was packed into a printed FBB carton.

Maxipos provided several material swatches in varying colours before Beauty Pie decided to proceed with a vegan velvet white pouch. The pouch was finished with a debossed logo and two white grosgrain ribbon pulls with knotted ends.

The FBB carton was manufactured from 350gsm paper card and was printed internally with Beauty Pie’s signature pink pantone, whilst the external front face was printed with an image of the Gua Sha tool. A UV varnish was then applied to the image so the carton matched Beauty Pie’s other product cartons. The FBB carton was completed with a blind embossed Beauty Pie logo.

5,000 units of the tool were produced and split between deliveries to the UK and USA. The tools were a great success with Beauty Pie’s consumers, and they contacted us in December 2022 to place a second order for 2023.
